ABOUT ME
Laura Kohoot was born in a one-room hut in a small Mennonite Village in Paraguay, South America on January 5, 1975. Since moving to Canada at a young age, she found adventure at every turn. Whether riding waves in Hawaii, avoiding grizzlies Tree Planting in Northern Ontario, or walking runways throughout North America, her heart and soul is in Story Telling. Also a Mother, professional singer, and TV Host.
ACTING
Beginning her career in the early 2000's, Laura is best known for Jumping the Broom (2011) All the Wrong Reasons (2013) and her nomination for "Best Female Lead" in A Bug and a Bag of Weed (2007). After taking a hiatus from the screen she is thrilled to be back in front of the Camera for You’re Killing ME!
SINGING
Laura has been singing her whole life. While her performance career began in Churches as a teen, she has graced stages across North America and beyond over the years. WRITING
Writing; in song or story, has been at the heart of Laura's creative expression. She continues to work on various writing projects that currently include upcoming performances in Halifax Story Slam (October 2024) and Stories in Nova Scotia (SINS).
